Cruise industry veteran Roger Blum leads Cruise & Port Advisors, Inc.. Roger has literally spent a lifetime in the cruise industry, including many years at sea, while working his way up from his starting position as a Bar Waiter to his final position as Hotel Director, bringing into service the newest vessels for Carnival Cruise Line.
When Roger came ashore to Carnival’s
corporate office in Miami, he was soon promoted to Vice President, with
responsibilities that included hotel and port operations, itinerary planning, government
relations, shore excursions, entertainment, new vessel start-ups and port
terminal agreements.
In 2011, Roger established Cruise &
Port Advisors, a consulting company specializing in assisting
ports, destinations, onboard revenue opportunities, shipboard human resources, technology
companies and shore excursions to tailor their services to meet the needs of,
and to market to, today’s cruise industry. Recently, Roger has also been instrumental in
helping source supplies and technologies needed for the latest COVID-19
protocols.
Roger is a regular expert speaker at the
largest cruise industry conferences, and is well known to industry decision
makers and stakeholders throughout the world. Cruise &
Port Advisors is based in Miami, Florida – the heart of the cruise industry,
and is a Platinum Member of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA).
Roger has excellent relations with all decision
makers, and fully understands cruise lines’ needs when making decisions.
Roger has a degree in Economics and Business
Administration from the University of Florida, and lives in Miami with his wife,
two children and dog.
